Keep a growing log

A few notes make next season less mysterious.

Write down planting dates, light observations and watering changes. Photograph a container from the same position occasionally so that gradual growth is easier to notice. Record problems alongside successes.

When something changes, adjust one factor at a time where possible. Notes are a record of your own conditions, not a promise that the same treatment suits every plant. Carry your observations into the next season.
